Children will have the opportunity to explore natural materials and traditional techniques, and to create their own woolen masterpieces inspired by sea motifs!

Guided by Jasminka Gršković (BlueSheep), the sessions take place every Monday at Ivan Klobučarić Square at 8:00 PM.

Once upon a time, and not so long ago, šurlice were made only for big celebrations. Today, it is a delicacy that everyone can afford, but only a few know how to make it themselves. Come and learn how this most famous „bodul“ specialty is made. Gastronomic workshops "Dubljašanska Gaštronomija" are held this summer in the DUBoak Maritime Heritage Interpretation Center every Tuesday from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The workshops are led by Josipa Orešković, and the price of the workshop is 15 EUR. Along with new knowledge and skills, you will take home the šurlice pasta you make and the recipe for šurlice with stew. During the workshop we will treat you with a glass (or two) of local wine! Join us in a rhythmic journey across the rich cultural heritage of Malinska-Dubašnica through the interpretive talk of our Klara Bogović. Learn more about sopele, šurlice, traditional wear and customs which we sometimes proudly and jealously keep, but also gladly and unselfishly share.

What is the difference between the 'little' and the 'big' sopela? What's special about the scale they are being played in? What is the meaning of the blue and the green stripe on our traditional wear? How were šurlice invented? Answers to those and many other questions you can hear in DUBoak every Wednesday from 8 p.m. It's free!

In the mystic atmosphere of Krk's middle ages, with candles and wine, we will introduce you to the world of Glagolitic calligraphy. Calligraphy is a technique of writing with pen and ink which gives aesthetic sublimity and certain beauty to the written words. Whilst handwriting represents letter-shaping specific to each individual, calligraphy demands discipline and exactness in writing the letters, their harmony and interrelation.

In this workshop you will learn:
- about the origins of glagolitic script in Croatia
- about basic tools used by glagolitic scribes
- how to write Croatian glagolitic letters and numbers
- how to write glagolitic letters using the tools/methods of calligraphy

A real sailor is known by the knots he ties! The knot has to be strong and reliable, so the boat doesn't go away, but also easy to untie so that the sailor and the boat can escape in the case of storm.

Knottology workshop is being held every Friday in front of the DUBoak Interpretation Centre starting at 8 p.m., and it is being led by our Alen Karabaić!

It is summer. It is the time of school holidays and well-deserved rest, and for many it is also a time of endless boredom! But there is no need for that! Summer can also be a time for making new acquaintances, for pleasant socializing, and for devoting yourself to what you enjoy. And while children express themselves creatively and socialize, parents can grab a few minutes for themselves!

Art workshops are intended for young creatives from 5 to 12 years old, and are held in the DUBoak Maritime Heritage Interpretation Center every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The workshop is led by Lucia Šimunović. The price is 14 EUR, with the option of buying a package of 5 workshops for 50 EUR. Every workshop is an opportunity to learn something new, and every participant will take home a souvenir that he made himself! It will be an unforgettable memory of DUBoak and Dubašnica.

This summer experience Malinska and DUBoak from the sea! Sail with us into history and experience a touch of tradition by sailing on a wooden boat, that has been made from oak following hundred years old practices. Witness the most beautiful sunset in the world with a glass of local wine and in the pleasant company of our crew and discover the charms of sailing on a wooden boat.
